On Sunday 2 September 2018, St Cuthbert’s Anglican Church in Prospect celebrated Martyrs Day with Evensong followed by the ABM Coaldrake Awards ceremony.
Archbishop Geoffrey Smith, together with Bishop Chris McLeod, the National Aboriginal Bishop and Chair of ABM’s South Australian Provincial Committee, presented the following 24 recipients with the Coaldrake Medal. Archbishop Geoffrey was also awarded the medal for his service as a former Managing Director of ABM.

Arrangements are in progress for others nominees of the Coaldrake Award who were unable to attend on the night. The Rev David Corbett and Mrs Alison Corbett were presented with their medals on 29 July before he sadly passed away last month.
ABM would like to congratulate and thank all the recipients who have been recognised for their service and dedication to God’s mission. Also, thank you to our supporters who helped to organise the event.
For those in Adelaide, please note there will be a second Coaldrake Award ceremony on Sunday 2 December at Christ Church North Adelaide.
