The Rt Revd Peter Ramsden, Bishop of Port Moresby Diocese, has announced his retirement after almost 18 years of service in the Anglican Church of Papua New Guinea (ACPNG).
He and his wife Sue will return to the United Kingdom in September, mainly due to personal reasons.
Bishop Peter advised that he will be busy, gradually withdrawing himself from the various boards he sits on with “plenty of other loose ends to tie up”, including the appointment of a new Vicar General and Dean for St John’s Cathedral. This is due to Fr Tennyson Bogar being elected as the new Bishop of Dogura Diocese in May.
Mrs Ramsden has just finished supervising the building of new staff accommodation, and is working on a simple guide to producing the ACPNG Lectionary – the yearly compilation of daily bible readings.
ABM is very blessed to have worked with the Ramdens over many years. We wish them well for their future and give thanks for their dedication and service to God. Please keep them in your prayers.
