Many congratulations to the Most Rev Geoffrey Smith, Archbishop of Adelaide, elected Primate of the Anglican Church of Australia on Tuesday.
Archbishop Geoff is a former Rector of St Peter’s, Taraka, in Papua New Guinea (1987-1990) and during their time in Lae his wife Lynn was the Provincial Accountant in the Anglican Church of Papua New Guinea’s National Office. He was the National Director of ABM from 2000 to 2005 after which he moved to the Diocese of Brisbane, being made Bishop of the Southern Region in 2007. In 2017 he became Archbishop of Adelaide.
