News from Episcopal Church in the Philippines – Bishop Soliba passes to the heavenly realm

It is with great sadness that ABM has learnt of the passing of the Most Rev’d Ignacio Soliba (who was formerly the Prime Bishop of the Philippines).

During the Primacy of Bishop Soliba, ABM and the Episcopal Church in the Philippines substantially expanded their partnership. ABM remains extremely appreciative of the Bishop’s guidance and support in fostering that relationship.

Bishop Soliba visited Australia on several occasions and was keen to build ties between the respective churches and encourage opportunities for cooperation and collaboration.

ABM extends its condolences and prayers to Bishop Soliba’s family and to the Episcopal Church in the Philippines. We commit him to God’s love and care. May he rest in peace.
