ABM supporter receives Order of Australia medal

It is our great pleasure to share the news that Mrs Beverley Dykes was recently awarded the Order of Australia medal for service to the community through a range of roles.

Beverly has been a long-time and energetic supporter of the Anglican Board of Mission and served in various capacities. She has been an Auxiliary Member since 1997, serving as National Auxiliary Board Member (2013-2016) and Executive Member (2015- present); President (2013-2015) and Secretary (1997-2003) of the Sydney Auxiliary, and is an Associate Member.

She has attended St Paul’s Anglican Church in Carlingford for over 35 years. She has been a member of the Mothers’ Union (MU) since 1962, was a leader of a MU Group for several years and Secretary from 1995-1998.

Beverley has been a volunteer at the Family Law Courts in Parramatta since 1984 and served as a Coordinator of the Court Support Group from 1994-2010.

She has been a member of the Blacktown View Club since 2001 and President in 2016. She was also a member of the Residents’ Advisory Committee at Constitution Hills Retirement Village from 2012-2016.

A warm congratulations to Beverley from all at ABM for this well-deserved recognition of her tireless contribution to church and community.
