ABM Coaldrake Awards at St John’s Cathedral in Brisbane

April 19, 2018

The Anglican Board of Mission (ABM) held the second Coaldrake Awards ceremony for the Diocese of Brisbane at St John’s Cathedral, Brisbane, on Sunday 15th April, 2018.

The Most Rev Dr Phillip Aspinall, Archbishop of Brisbane, presented 15 recipients with the Coaldrake Award which aims to recognise the contribution of former missionaries and dedicated staff members of ABM.

The award was initiated in 2017 and is named after the Rev Canon Frank Coaldrake who served with distinction, first as a missionary and later as Chairman of the ABM Board.

The Rev Ken Spreadborough of ABM’s Brisbane Diocesan Committee was at the ceremony to thank the recipients which included former Board member the Rev Canon Janne Whitehead, and former Development Committee member the Rt Rev Cameron Venables.

Thank you to all who helped to organise the event and for attending to make it a special occasion.
