St Luke’s Collingwood Park, part of Goodna Parish in the Diocese of Brisbane, recently made a donation to ABM from the proceeds raised from their beehive.
The beehive originally belonged to David Gowty, a former ABM Board Member, who sadly passed away in 2013. However, it is wonderful to know that our partners are still benefiting from his beehives. You can read a previously published story about David and the beehives on our website here: http://www.abmission.org/pages/david-gowtys-bee-autiful-legacy-lives-on-.html.
At the time, Dr Julianne Stewart, ABM’s Programs Director, said, “Another legacy of David Gowty continues to be the work he did for ABM working with the Church of the Province of Myanmar, where, after going on a listening tour to all six dioceses, he advised on a new structural approach to the church’s community development work, which is just starting to be implemented. He is warmly remembered by the church there.”
Thank you to St Luke’s Collingwood Park for your support and for continuing David Gowty’s legacy.
