The Rev Joan Pascoe receives Coaldrake medal

The Coaldrake Award was presented to the Rev Joan Pascoe on Wednesday 27 June at St Andrew’s Anglican Church in Caloundra in the Diocese of Brisbane.

The Rev Ken Spreadborough, Chair of the ABM Brisbane Diocesan Committee, made the presentation during the mid-week service, and said that he and his wife Betty were made to feel very welcome by the Rev Julie Worrell and her parish.

ABM gave the award in recognition of Joan’s work as a missionary in the Dogura area in Papua New Guinea. During the service and the lunch following, she had the opportunity to speak about some of her experiences from that time.
