Welcome to the fourth quarter of Weekly Pew Reflections for 2009.
They have been written by the Revd Father Lindsley Ihove, who is the Mission and Evangelism Coordinator for the Diocese of Popondota.
Father Lindsley visited Australia recently to encourage Australians to give to the Martyrs Appeal. Those who met him were charmed by his charisma and his passion for ministry in the province.
Part of the funds from the Martyrs’ Appeal will go to support a number of Archdeacons who work with Father Lindsley around Gona. These ministers travel vast distances on foot to reach their parishes. Since Cyclone Guba devastated the area two years ago, there has been an ongoing food shortage as gardens are yet to regenerate. This has not prevented Father Lindsley and his team from reaching the most remote villages to spread the Good News.
We hope that these reflections will inspire the same passion and enthusiasm that Father Lindsley has for his work in your own life.
God Bless
