4th September 2015

The Church of the Province of Myanmar have sent some photographs showing relief distribution to villages and flood damage. They are currently preparing for the rehabilitation phase. View images here.

11th August 2015

The Anglican Alliance has posted an article about CPM’s relief efforts to flood-affected regions of Myanmar. View the article here. Peter San Lin, the provincial development department head, sent ABM a Proposal for Humanitarian Assistance to Flood Affected Victims. This document gives a detailed overview of the situation and CPM’s plans for emergency relief, recovery and rehabilitation. Download a .pdf copy here. 

6th August 2015

The latest news updates report that at least 69 people have been killed by flood waters in Myanmar and over 260,000 people are affected. Please keep praying for them, for our Partner CPM and all government and aid agencies who are assisting in the relief efforts.

4th August 2015

ABM has received the following, very detailed, update from our Partner in Myanmar, the Church in the Province of Myanmar (CPM): 

With the permission of our Archbishop [Stephen Than Myint Oo] we formed the Relief Committee in Provincial level on the date of 1st August 2015, to respond to the flood affected area. As you are aware according to the local news 11 States and Divisions are affected by flood very severely in some areas. Not only because of heavy rain, but also releasing from the dams. As you know many companies and NGOs are assisting in the relief work. Read more.
