• 14/03/2014 Unfortunately, peace talks have progressed very little with negotiations to resume again on 20 March. The East African states have agreed to deploy their troops by the middle of April if a ceasefire agreement is not reached. (Reuters)
   
• 20/01/2014 Peace talks are still ongoing in Ethiopia. Meanwhile government troops have recaptured the town of Bor from rebel forces. The Ugandan army have also been involved in the fighting in support of President Kiir.(Reuters)
