ABM and our Partners were part of the extensive global conversation that lead to the development of the Global Goals for Sustainable Development (SDGs). These affirm the projects already being undertaken by our Partners around the world.

We join with people all over the globe in welcoming the renewed focus on sustainable development and recommit ourselves to the difficult but critical work of ending extreme poverty, fighting inequality & injustice and fixing climate change.

Sustainable Development Goals

In keeping with the mandate of ABM, expressed in the 5 Marks of Mission, the following Sustainable Development Goals form the focus of our advocacy efforts.

Goal 1:  End poverty in all its forms everywhere

Goal 2:  End hunger, achieve food security and promote sustainable agriculture

Goal 3:  Ensure healthy lives and promote well-being for all at all ages

Goal 4:  Ensure inclusive and quality education for all and promote lifelong learning

Goal 5:  Achieve gender equality and empower all women and girls

Goal 6:  Ensure access to water and sanitation for all

Goal 13: Take urgent action to combat climate change and its impacts
